Who we are

Two best friends, tutoring since 2021.

We met in sixth form and ended up revising together for years before either of us ever taught a lesson, which is really where this whole approach comes from. Neither of us got our own grades by things just clicking instantly. We had to actually sit with a concept until it properly made sense, not just memorise the steps, but once it clicks, it applies to almost any question you're thrown. The way we revised together back then is still the foundation of how we teach now.

We started tutoring through MyTutor, one of the UK's largest tutoring platforms, where tutors are vetted and DBS-checked before they're allowed to teach, in our first year of university, back in 2021. We quickly realised we were solving the same problem for two different subjects: students who'd quietly decided they were bad at something, long before anyone tried explaining it to them differently. That's the whole foundation of how we teach, we're not just getting you through one topic, we're making sure the understanding is solid enough that the next ten questions get easier too.

Five years and over 1,000 lessons later, that's still the part of the job we care about most.

We tutor students with dyslexia and ADHD specifically

This isn't a box-ticking add-on, it's part of how we both already teach. If your child has a diagnosis, an IEP, or just learns differently, tell us in the intro call and we'll plan around it from lesson one.

Our Approach

It's rarely really about the subject.

By the time most families come to us, it's rarely really about the subject. It's that a student has decided they're "just not a maths person," stopped putting their hand up, or gone quiet rather than risk getting it wrong. We've built our entire approach around that moment, the one before the grades can improve, where a student has to believe trying again is worth it.

Patience

Step by step, never rushed

We break every topic down into pieces small enough that nothing feels overwhelming, and we don't move on until it's actually landed.

Repetition

Repetition that builds memory

We come back to the same methods in different forms across sessions, so they stick, not just for the next test, but properly.

Confidence

No embarrassment, ever

Asking a "stupid question" is the whole point of the session. We mean that literally, it's the fastest way back to confidence.

What we teach

Online, 1:1, built around your child.

Every lesson runs over Google Meet with Scribble, an interactive whiteboard we use to annotate, work through problems live, and map out ideas together in real time, not just talk at a screen.

GCSE Maths

Any exam board

From basics that got missed to exam technique under pressure, structured, step by step, with repetition that actually builds confidence rather than just covering content.

£45 / hour
A-Level Psychology

AQA specification

Our lessons are built from the actual revision notes we used to get our own grades, broken down into flashcard style slides, mapped directly onto AO1 (knowledge) and AO3 (evaluation), so nothing extra needs reworking before exam time. Whichever of us teaches your sessions, you're getting the exact same materials. See for yourself on your free intro call, where we'll walk you through a sample lesson.

£50 / hour
Opening for the new academic year

From later this year, enrolled students can also join our monthly Research Methods session, small group, both of us teaching, £50 for 2 hours.

11+ Entrance

New for 2026

Added after demand from families we already work with, the same calm, confidence first approach, adapted for younger students.

£45 / hour
A more affordable way in

Psychology Study Buddy: £35 per student

Same materials, same structure, lower cost when you split a session. Bring your own friend, or tell us you're interested and we'll pair you with another student at a similar level. One hour, weekly, same flashcard-style notes and AO1/AO3 breakdown as our 1:1 sessions, just shared between two people instead of one.
